CITY OF MIDLOTHIAN REQUESTS PROPOSALS FOR REDEVELOPMENT OF MAIN STREET’S 1965 FIRE STATION

A request for proposals (RFP) has been issued by the City of Midlothian for qualified parties interested in redeveloping the property at 235 N. 8th Street, the home of the 1965 fire station. The 7,569-square-foot building has three large fire truck bays and is ideally suited for a casual, fast-casual, or family-dining restaurant concept. The City envisions a destination restaurant at this location to anchor and help accelerate an ongoing downtown revitalization effort.
Those interested in obtaining a copy of the RFP may contact the purchasing department at the City of Midlothian, 972-775-7106.  A pre-proposal meeting will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at 10 a.m. at the fire station located at 235 N. 8th Street, Midlothian. Attendees will have a chance to view the site and have questions answered.  Please call the City to let them know you plan to attend. Sealed proposals are due at the office of the Purchasing Division, 104 W. Avenue E, Midlothian, TX, 76065 by October 6, 2020, at 2 p.m. at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
